Kochi: Trains will be regulated and cancelled between Ernakulam and Edappally on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from September 2 to October 6 owing to track modernization works.

The regulations will be in force on September 2, 4, 8, 9, 11, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 29, 30 and October 2 and 6.

Alternative arrangements

The Chennai Egmore – Guruvayur Express will leave Ernakulam at 7 am on September 2, 4 and 8 and at 6.35 am on September 9, 11, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 29, 30 and October 2, 6. The train will stop at all stations between Ernakulam and Guruvayur.

The Nagercoil – Mangaluru Ernad Express will have temporary halts at Angamaly and Irinjalakuda on the days the Ernakulam – Kannur intercity express is cancelled.

Other regulations

The Thiruvananthapuram – Madurai Amritha Express will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 11 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays. It will be regulated for around three hours on the Kottayam – Thrissur section.

The Chennai Egmore – Guruvayur Express will leave Thiruvananthapuram 30 minutes late on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays. The train will be regulated for two-and-a-half hours between Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam.

No: 22149 Ernakulam – Pune Express will depart from Ernakulam at 6.15 am on Tuesdays.

No: 22653 Thiruvananthapuram – Nizamuddin Express will leave at 1.30 am on Saturdays.

Alleppey – Dhanbad Express will be delayed by 40 minutes on Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays. Nagercoil – Mangaluru Ernad Express will be late by 30 minutes on these days.

Thiruvananthapuram – Mumbai CST Express, Tirunelveli – Bilaspur Express, Ernakulam – Bengaluru intercity and Thiruvananthapuram – Kozhikode Jansatabdi trains will be delayed by 15 minutes to 40 minutes.
