Man and daughter killed as bus rams scooter near Konni

Konni: A 52-year-old man and his teenage daughter were killed after a bus rammed their scooter at Eliyarackal junction near Konni in Pathanamthitta district on Friday.
Prasad of Aruvappulam and his 18-year-old daughter Anu Prasad (Ammu) were the victims. Anu was a final year BSc student at St Thomas College, Kozhencherry. Prasad had just returned from South Africa a day before.
The private bus, Venad, conducting services along the Punalur-Pathanamthitta route rammed their scooter at Eliyarackal. They were on their way back home after visiting Konni.
The bus dragged the bodies for around 10 metres before coming to a halt. Anu died on the spot. Though Prasad was rushed to a hospital in Pathanamthitta, his life could not be saved.
