Malayala Manorama widens lead, way ahead with 1.81 crore readers

Mumbai: Malayala Manorama has 1.81 crore readers as per the latest data released by the Indian Readership Survey (IRS).
The total number of readers has increased by 6.11 lakh. Manorama is the only Malayalam publication to make it to the top 10 publications with the maximum number of readers in India, according to the IRS' second quarter report of 2019.
Manorama also registered the biggest growth among Malayalam newspapers. Manorama currently leads the second-largest Malayalam daily by 48.51 lakh readers. It has also increased its lead from last year.
Manorama also held on to the top position as the vernacular newspaper with the largest Average Issue Readership (AIR).
The Media Research Users Council (MRUC), which conducts an accurate study on print media readership, prepares the IRS report.
