Kochi: Three members of a family, including a three-year-old boy, were found dead inside their house at North Paravur on Friday evening.
The police supect they were dead by Thursday night, but the incident had only come to light after the relatives reached the house on Friday. It was they who informed the police.
The deceased were identified as Sunil Kumar, 39, his wife, Krishnendu, 30 and their son, Arav, three.
The police suspect it to be a case of suicide as the child was found smothered while the husband and wife were hanging in their bedroom.
Sunil was reportedly employed as a lift technician at Abu Dhabi but had not been able to return since reaching home due to the COVID-19 situation.
The reason for death is yet to be known.
