Omicron: Movie theatres in Kerala to close at 10 pm

Thiruvananthapuram: In the wake of the increase in cases of Omicron variant of the coronavirus, theatres in Kerala have been prohibited from hosting film after 10 pm.

The restrictions will be applicable from December 30 until January 2, said a government order issued Tuesday.

The state government had earlier informed that night curfew will be effective during the aforementioned period.

According to the government, the aim is to limits crowds in connection with New Year celebrations. Kerala has reported 57 cases of Omicron variant so far.
