Kochi: A youth sustained injuries after jumping from the eighth floor when a police raid on New Year's eve busted a drug racket at Thrikkakara here.
Five others, including a woman were taken into custody while the youth who tried to flee is admitted to a private hospital at Kakkanad with injuries.
The youth who jumped had hit the ground breaking the aluminum roof of a car parking and has reportedly injured his shoulder in the fall.
Those arrested are Athul of Kayamkulam, Maria Biju of Idukki, Shino Mervin of Kozhikode and Kollam natives Najim Shamsudheen and Aneesh Ani.
The five accused, from whom MDMA and hash oil were confiscated, have been remanded.
