Ration shops in Kerala to remain open for more time from today

Thiruvananthapuram: Revised timings of ration shops in Kerala will come into force from Monday. As per the new decision, the ration shops will remain open for the public for more time.

The ration shops in the districts of Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta and Wayanad will remain open from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm. Earlier, the decision was to keep open shops till 12 noon.

The ration shops in the districts of Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur, Kottayam, Kasaragod and Idukki will be open from 3 pm to 7 pm. Earlier, the closing time in these district was 6.30 pm.

The new timings for ration shops will be effective up to January 25.
