Kochi: ADGP S Sreejith has claimed that the police have evidence against actor Dileep on the charges of an attempt to hack a conspiracy to harm investigating officers in a 2017 actor assault case.

The Crime Branch has been questioning Dileep and four others in connection with the case since 9 am on Sunday.

"We are confident of thoroughly investigating all the cases we undertake. But we don't have a say on the outcome of the cases," Sreejith told media persons.

"What we can do is investigate truthfully and bring out the truth. We have sufficient evidence and there is more to figure out, which we are doing."

The senior officer refused to state if Dileep was cooperating with the questioning that has crossed over seven hours at the District Crime Branch Office in Kalamassery.

"If the accused cooperates during an investigation we get some evidence, and if he does not cooperate we again get evidence, but of a different kind," said Sreejith.
