Thrissur man who was murdered by his younger brother earlier this month had been buried alive, the post-mortem has revealed.
The doctors who performed the autopsy on Babu, 27, found the presence of mud in the respiratory system, from which they have inferred that the victim was alive when he was buried.
Sabu, the younger brother had confessed to the killing the other day after a neighbour discovered the body in a vacant land adjacent to their house at Muthuliyal near Cherpu here.
According to Manorama News, the police believe that Sabu was unaware that his brother had not died when he was buried.
The doctors believe Babumight have been unconscious after being strangulated by Sabu. The head injury was possibly caused during a fall.
