A woman is being questioned by the Kasaba Police here on suspicion of murder of her three-year-old boy.
The probe into the death of Muhammed Shanu, son of Shameer, a native of Elappully Maniyeri here took a crucial turn after the post-mortem report arrived late Tuesday.
As per the report, there were marks around the boy's neck indicating he had been strangulated.
Earlier on the day, the woman had reached out to her neighbours saying her child was not responding. He was rushed to hospital and had been declared dead.
The child's paternal uncle A Hakkim has accused the mother of murder. He said the child was kept away from the father for the last seven months.
