Kochi: Malayalam actor-screenwriter Vishnu Unnikrishnan has been hospitalised with burns sustained during the shooting of a film he is directing in Kochi.

It is understood that Vishnu suffered serious injuries to his arms during the filing of 'Vedikettu' (fireworks) at Vypin on Wednesday.

He was rushed to a private hospital here soon after the incident.

Vishnu and Bibin George were directing the film for which they had written the script and dialogues. The duo has woked together in several films like ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, ‘Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan’, and ‘Oru Yamandan Premakadha’.
