Migrant worker mowed down by speeding car in Kannur dies

Kannur: A migrant worker, who was under treatment after being hit by a speeding car, succumbed to his injuries at the Government Medical College at Pariyaram in Kannur on Monday.

The deceased was Subhash Bharman (46), a native of Kolkata. He had suffered serious injuries in an accident that took place at Koothuparamba on Sunday. Bharman was hit by a speeding car while he was crossing the road.

People of the locality had rushed Bharman to the General Hospital at Thalassery, from where he was shifted to the MCH.

The car that hit him did not stop and has yet to be found. The Koothuparamba Police got the registration number from CCTV footage and has launched a probe.
