According to reports, Ashok was caught by a mob and interrogated after he caused a commotion at the residence of his former woman colleague.
Sources said the victim was not wearing a safety belt.
Appropriate safety measures were not in place at the site to protect the labourers, said officials.
Ashok approached the police along with his two Malayali friends to explain the dismay he faced after winning the ticket.
The deceased was identified Althaf Mia (29), who had been missing since last Sunday. Bikas Sen (30) and Anwar Muhammed (24) were arrested after receiving a complaint that Mia was missing, said police.
The children too were found with Shahida at the Guwahati airport. A police team has left for Assam to bring back the main accused and the children.
The survivor, a woman in her 60s, is a native of Alappuzha
The 46-year-old victim had been under treatment at the medical college since Sunday.
The boy was electrocuted from an electric fence at a farm at Pookkottumpadam.
The 57-year-old succumbed to injuries at the medical college hospital.
