Kollam: A textile shop owner and a woman employee were found hanging at Ayoor here on Friday. The deceased are Ali, a native of Kozhikode, and Divya Mol, the manager of the textile shop. Staff members who arrived at the shop in the morning found the two dead inside the hall.

Police recovered the bodies while searching for Pallikkal native Divya Mol, who had been reported missing since Thursday. Chadayamangalam police reportedly launched the search after receiving a missing person complaint from her family. Officials told the media that the two were suspected to have died by suicide. They added that a detailed investigation is currently underway.

The mortal remains of both individuals have been taken to Paripally Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination.
