Hosdurg police have arrested a 48-year-old man for allegedly impregnating his 15-year-old daughter. The man, a Karnataka native residing in municipal quarters in Kanhangad, had been living with his wife and five children.

Police apprehended him after bringing him back from the Gulf, where he had fled around a month before his daughter gave birth. On July 22, the Class 10 student gave birth to a baby girl at home. She was later admitted to a private hospital in Kanhangad due to excessive bleeding. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by the girl’s mother.
