Thiruvananthapuram: A 52-year-old man was found dead in his rented room at Karamana, Nedumcaud, on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Suresh, also known as Sura.

According to the FIR, the house owner found the body around 2 pm after noticing that Sura had not been seen outside for two days. “He was living in a shed on the third floor of a rented house, with two others staying in adjacent sheds. The house owner found him lying dead on the floor while checking on him,” said councillor Karamana Ajith.

Karamana police visited the scene, conducted the inquest, and shifted the decomposed body, suspected to be at least two days old, to the Medical College Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.

Suresh is survived by his brothers, P Rajan and P Selvan. A third brother, Vijayan, had predeceased him.
