Thiruvananthapuram: Three men were injured after an out-of-control car hit a motorist and two pedestrians in Mangalapuram on Saturday evening. The incident occurred near the Mangalapuram Government Primary Health Centre, police said.
The grey Nissan Datsun first struck a motorist on the road before hitting two people standing by a roadside tea shop. The motorist sustained minor injuries, while the pedestrians suffered serious injuries.
“One of the pedestrians sustained head and leg injuries, and the other injured their hand. The car also hit two or three other two-wheelers. The driver said the steering got jammed and the vehicle went out of control,” said an eyewitness, Sikhander Ameen. Two of the injured were taken to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for treatment.
