Pattambi: The Kozhinjipparamb LP School at vilayoor in Karinganad has completed 100 years and will mark the milestone with year-long celebrations under the banner Shatha Sree. The festivities will begin tomorrow with a mega medical camp, announced school headmaster M P Satheesh and reception committee office-bearers Neelady Sudhakaran, N P Shahul Hameed and Rahman Sankethathil.

The medical camp, organised by the centenary celebration committee with the support of Perinthalmanna EMS Hospital, Palakkad Ahalya Eye Hospital and Perinthalmanna MES Dental Hospital, will feature doctors from paediatrics, pulmonology (allergy), general medicine, and dentistry. It will be held at the school from 9.30 AM onwards.

Panchayat president Boby Girija will inaugurate the camp, with ward member Neelady Sudhakaran presiding. An organising committee, led by district panchayat member Kammukutty Edathol as chairman and K V Gangadharan as general convener, is coordinating the year-long celebrations.

As part of the centenary, events such as an Onam procession, an old students’ meet, a cultural festival, seminars, a parents’ meet and a public meeting will be held, the organising committee said.
