Chalakkudy: Pranathosmi, an event organised to honour teachers and headmasters of 84 schools in the Irinjalakkuda educational district, turned out to be a unique experience. The programme, held at Carmel Higher Secondary School and organised by the HM Forum, felicitated all headmasters, headmistresses, teachers, non-teaching staff and staff of the sub-district educational office.

The function opened with a group dance presented by the talented students of Carmel School. MLA Saneesh Kumar Joseph inaugurated the meeting, while District Educational Officer T Shyla presided.

Motivational speaker K R Sumesh, Assistant Director of the District Educational Office P M Balakrishnan, T K Latha, Principal of Irinjalakkuda Government Boys High School and convenor of the HM Forum,  Carmel Higher Secondary School Principal Fr. Jose Thanikkal and Mejo Paul, Treasurer of the HM Forum and Headmaster of Avittathoor LBSMHSS etc addressed the gathering.
