Kottayam’s Kurumulloor anganwadi to have permanent building after 22 years

Kurumulloor: Anganwadi No 110 in Ward 14 of the panchayat, which has been functioning in a rented building for the past 22 years, is finally getting its own premises.
The new facility is coming up on three cents of land generously donated free of cost by KC Mathai and Leelamma Mathew of Eashwaram Hadahil. The land transfer was made possible through the efforts of ward member Biju Pazhayapurakkal.
The building is being constructed at a cost of ₹25 lakh from the fund of District Panchayat Division Member Nirmala Jimmy. Nirmala Jimmy inaugurated the construction work, with Panchayat President Ambika Sukumaran presiding over the function.
Vice-president Biju Pazhayapurakkal, Block Panchayat Standing Committee Chairperson Asha Jobi, Panchayat Standing Committee Chairpersons Vineetha Ragesh, Kanakkari Aravindakshan and Lovelymol Varghese, and panchayat members Bincy Cyriac, Jambi Joseph, Sam Kumar, Sreeja Shibu, Besimol Joshy, and Thressaiamma Sebastian spoke on the occasion.
