Thiruvananthapuram: Rapper Vedan, alias Hirandas Murali, has landed in fresh trouble after two more women raised sexual assault allegations against him. According to reports, the victims filed a complaint with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is likely to forward it to the DGP.
Malayala Manorama reported that the complainants had sought an appointment with the Chief Minister. The women alleged that the assaults took place in 2020 and 2021.
Vedan is currently absconding after the Thrikkakkara police booked him in a rape case. According to the complaint, the doctor, who was a fan of Vedan, came into contact with him through social media. The first alleged assault took place when they met at an apartment in Kozhikode to discuss a social media post. Vedan is accused of repeatedly abusing the woman between 2021 and 2023, while assuring her that he intended to marry her.
She also alleged that Vedan left her emotionally traumatised and borrowed money from her on multiple occasions during the relationship.
The Kerala High Court is expected to consider his anticipatory bail plea in this rape case on Monday.
