Pathanamthitta: KSRTC’s Pathanamthitta depot has created history by earning record revenue, surpassing the target set by the head office fivefold. This was achieved on Monday when schools and offices reopened after the Onam holidays. The initial target set for the depot with 59 schedules was ₹14.24 lakh. With an additional ₹5 lakh, the depot was able to collect ₹19.28 lakh, registering a profit of 135.45 per cent.

All 59 schedules operated on Monday after completing maintenance works. These buses covered 30,587 kilometres in 275 trips. Meanwhile, the EPKM (Earnings Per Kilometre) stood at ₹63.06. DTO Roy Varghese said the depot could achieve record revenue because of the hard work and cooperation of the employees. He added that Ranni depot recorded 122 per cent profit, Konni 135 per cent, Adoor 132 per cent, Pandalam 98 per cent, Thiruvalla 110 per cent, and Mallappally 123 per cent.
