Kanjirappally: A Dalmatian dog and a Beetal male goat, believed to have gone missing from the same household, are now under the care of residents at a housing colony here.
The animals, which reportedly wandered in from the Kariplavu area a few days ago, appear to have lost their way home. Colony residents have taken them in, noting that both the dog and the goat wear similar bells around their necks and are often seen moving together. Residents also observed that the dog seems to protect the goat from potential harm, suggesting that they may have originally been reared in the same household.
The police have been informed, and the original owners can reclaim the animals after notifying the local station, said Bijumon Immanuel Vazhakkappara, president of the housing colony.
