Kozhikode: The health condition of Koduvally MLA and Indian Union Muslim League leader M K Muneer, who was hospitalised following a cardiac arrest, is improving.

In a Facebook post on Thursday night, Health Minister Veena George said she had spoken to the doctor treating Muneer, who informed her that the MLA’s condition is now stable. She also wished him a speedy recovery.

According to a medical bulletin issued by Meitra Hospital, Kozhikode, on Friday, Muneer’s condition is stable and showing signs of improvement. The hospital noted that he remains under the care of the critical care department, supervised by a multi-disciplinary medical team, and continues to be closely monitored.

The 63-year-old leader was diagnosed with hypokalaemia, a condition caused by low potassium levels, and has also been experiencing lower gastrointestinal symptoms. He is being treated in the hospital's critical care unit under close medical supervision. He was admitted on Tuesday.
