Thiruvananthapuram: A 19-year-old college student died by suicide at Azhoor in Thiruvananthapuram. The deceased is identified as Anakha Sudeesh, an undergraduate student at St Xavier's College, Thumba. The police said the death happened sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning.

According to the FIR, Anakha was reportedly distressed about attending an academic seminar. She tied a piece of cloth onto the window in her room and hanged herself. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
