Tenhipalam: Primary school student P Mehboob has become the apple of Kolathode's eye through his cleanliness drive. Mehboob became a star in the locality following his relentless efforts to keep his surroundings free of litters, by walking all over the area and collecting bio-degradable wastes, including plastic covers and bottles.
The collected waste is then filled in sacks and placed by the roadside, making it convenient for the members of the Haritha Karma Sena to pick them up. Mehboob gained attention after some people, who noticed him collecting wastes, took photos and uploaded them on social media.
He is the son of P Abdul Hameed and Fousiya. He is a fifth-grade student at Tenhipalam GUP School in Chenakkalangadi.
