Cleaning drive lends new look to Beypore and Gotheeshwaram beaches

Beypore: Cleaning drives were conducted at the Beypore and Gotheeshwaram beaches by the DTPC as part of the Seva Parv, an initiative inviting citizens to joins hands in acts of service, on the International Coastal Cleanup Day. The waste materials that were deposited on the shores were completely removed by the volunteers.
The drive at Gotheeshwaram was inaugurated by chairperson of permanent samiti for town planning K Krishnakumari. Meanwhile, councillor Kollarath Sureshan presided over the event. Councillor T Rajani inaugurated the cleaning drive at Beypore beach. NSS and SPC volunteers as well as social workers and local residents took part in the cleaning drive.
A cleaning drive was conducted by Bharatiya Fishermen Sangham, Vidyaniketan and other Parivar organisations at Beypore beach on the International Coastal Cleanup Day. K Sadasivan, C Sabulal, M Lalu, Pradeep, K Udayarajan and P Shajini spoke at the event. School students, teachers and parents too were part of the cleanup drive.
