Ramanattukara: Jabir Kongayil, a native of Pullumkunnu, has completed a 30km-marathon as part of the anti-drug Pullumkunnu campaign organised based on the theme ‘Ente Naadu, Ente Bhaavi. The marathon was organised as part of rescuing the younger generation from drugs in view of the problems faced by the society by the ever increasing substance abuse.

The marathon was completed by running from Pullumkunnu to Nediyirupp in Kondotty and also in the revese direction. Senior citizen Kallumkandy Bichukkoya flagged off the marathon. Anti-drug collective Pullumkunnu Action Council chairperson K T Shahul Hameed presided. P Askar, K Haneefa, M Faisal, T T Kabeer, and Latheef Parol followed the marathon. 

Municipal vice-chairperson P K Abdul Latheef inaugurated the reception accorded at the end of the marathon. 

Councillor K Lalitha presented a memento. K Saithalavi, K P Nasar, P T Mustafa, Ali Pacheeri, Usman Sherif, K Majeed, K P Salam, K C Favas, M  Danish, P T Junais, K Bava, T Rinju, and M Faisal spoke.
