Kollam: The Punalur Police on Monday arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his wife to death over a marital dispute. The accused, Isac, a native of Koothanadi, Placheri, later went live on Facebook to confess to the murder before surrendering at the Punalur Police Station.

"I have killed my wife, Shalini, as she maintained several other relationships and loaned gold without my knowledge. I have two sons; the elder one, who is 19, is a cancer patient. She was living at her mother's house without any remorse. She wanted to live extravagantly and destroyed all our properties. I live in the house I built. She does not even have a penny in her name," Isac said.

The incident occurred around 6.30 am when Shalini (39), who was living separately from Isac due to marital issues, went to take a bath. Isac inflicted multiple stab wounds to her chest, neck, and back. Isac has been booked under Section 103(1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Shalini’s body has been shifted to the Medical College Hospital, Paripally.
