Payyavoor: In protest against the continued apathy of the panchayat authorities in restoring the Idamana–Karivelleri Poopparambu Road in Eruvesi panchayat, local residents launched a collective effort to make the road navigable.

As par of it, the residents joined forces to repair the stretch, filling potholes and damaged portions of the road with concrete mix. The initiative was led by Tankachan Puthumanakkunnah, Renni Mannaparambil, Renimon Pazhayathottam, Jilson Kakkallil, Sibi Punnakkuzhiyil, Jaison Pulickal, Mohanan Parayakonath, Sunil Pariyarathukunnel, Joshi Pariyarathukunnel, Subin Velikkakathu, Saji Ottaplakkal and Aneesh Alappatt.
