3 injured in bus-jeep collision in Idukki

Kumily: Three people were injured when a tourist jeep and a bus collided near Kumily in Idukki around 1.30 pm on Sunday.
The injured are Rosi (61), Soumya (39), and Ros (9), all from Chalakudy in Thrissur. Rosi and Ros, who suffered serious injuries, were shifted to a private hospital in Pala, Kottayam, while Soumya is under treatment at a hospital in Kumily.
The jeep was carrying members of the Traders’ Coordination Committee, Kodali, Thrissur, who were on a trip to Idukki. The bus was heading to Elappara.
Vandiperiyar police said slippery road conditions following rain likely led to the accident. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
