Idukki: A 30-year-old man was found murdered inside his home in Kattappana. The deceased has been identified as Solraj, son of Shankili Muthu and Sundaramma of Karithodu in Udumbanchola.

He was found lying in bed with his throat slit on Monday. Police suspect that he was attacked in his sleep. Initial findings suggest that the body had been lying in the house for nearly two days.

The body was found leaning to one side, in a sleeping position, with his hand tucked under his head. Bloodstains were visible on the bed and the floor, and a toppled white paint bucket was seen nearby.

The locals said that Solraj had been living alone in the house and often created problems under the influence of alcohol.
