Kozhikode: A man travelling in an autorickshaw was killed after being run over by a private bus at Valiya Paramba on the Edavanna–Koyilandy State Highway around 9.10 pm on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Sivan Theyyathumkavu (49), a native of Ellangal in Karutha Paramba.

According to police, the autorickshaw hit a car, throwing Sivan onto the road. Moments later, a private bus ran over him. He was rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode, but was declared dead on arrival. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the accident.
