Community and NSS volunteers unite to build home for bereaved family in Malappuram

Tenhipalam: Citizens have come together to support a family struggling to complete the construction of their house after the sudden passing away of its head. Volunteers from the National Service Scheme (NSS) at the Government Model Higher Secondary School, Calicut University Campus also joined hands with the local community to help finish construction. The family now has a new home in Devathiyal.
The keys were handed over by Babykutty Joseph, while S Sreehith, NSS Regional Programme Coordinator (North Zone), inaugurated a meeting held in connection with the housewarming. NSS volunteers assisted with wiring and plumbing works during he construction.
The function was attended by Pallikkal Panchayat member NP Nidheesh Kumar, School Principal K Prathap, NSS District (West) Coordinator PT Rajmohan, Chelari Cluster Coordinator PK Sinu, Programme Officer N Nimisha, PTA president KH Rasheed, and PV Mujeeb, among others, who spoke at the event.
