Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has appointed Excise Commissioner M R Ajith Kumar IPS (KL-1995) as the chairperson of the Kerala State Beverages Corporation (Bevco).

According to the government order, Ajith Kumar, who also serves as a director on the Bevco board, will take charge as chairperson in accordance with Article 20 of the Articles of Association of the corporation.

Earlier, Harshita Attaluri IPS (KL-2002), Inspector General of Police, was serving as both the chairperson and managing director of the corporation. With the new order, she will continue as Bevco’s managing director. The appointment order was issued by Additional Chief Secretary K R Jyothilal on behalf of the Governor.
