Thiruvambady: A group of  school students here have grabbed the spotlight by recovering a camera that fell into the Iruvanji River during a film shoot.

The GoPro camera slipped from the hands of the action choreographer into the river during the shoot of the film `Derby', the other day.

Stalin Shibu and Listin Shibu, the children of Shibu, a lorry driver who resides nearby the bridge, along with their friend Libin, ventured into the river despite the strong current and recovered the camera in a daring effort.

Stalin and Listin are high school students at Pullurampara St Joseph’s High School, while Libin is a higher secondary student. Their ability to navigate the Iruvanji River under challenging conditions from a young age proved invaluable. The film crew received the camera and presented them with a gift before leaving.
