Thottilpalam: The bus waiting shelter at Chakramthalam on the Churam (Ghat) Road has been completely taken over by thick vegetation. With shrubs and weeds growing all around, the shelter has now vanished from sight.

Built around 15 years ago with funds from the Kunnummal Block Panchayat, the shelter once served as a convenient waiting spot for commuters, including school students. However, with the area now overrun by bushes, passengers are forced to wait for buses near a nearby shop.

The overgrowth has also led to the presence of anti-social elements and reptiles, making the place unsafe, residents said. The bus passengers’ association has urged the authorities to clear the vegetation and restore the shelter for public use.
