Malappuram: A 27-year-old woman died after her scooter collided with a truck on the Perinthalmanna-Valanchery road in Malappuram on Tuesday. The deceased is P P Jamsina, wife of Muhammad Rafi from Mavandiyur Ilayamparambil in Munnakkal. She died at the spot.

The incident occurred around 1 pm near the C H Hospital, where the truck, travelling in the same direction, struck her scooter from behind. Jamsina had been in town for driving class and was heading home when the tragedy unfolded. She died at the spot. 

Local residents and Valanchery police coordinated in transferring her body to a private hospital in Valanchery. Following an inquest, her body was moved to the Tirur District Hospital for post-mortem examination.

She is survived by her husband and three sons- Muhammad Riffin, Muhammad Rinshad, and Muhammad Risil. Her father is Abdussalam from Pathirappally, Moorukkanad, and her mother is Fathima Kutty.

Her funeral would be held on Wednesday at the Munnakkal Juma Masjid cemetery.
