Pathanamthitta: Several people were injured after a bus collided with a mini lorry in Maroor here on Tuesday. The injured were taken to a private hospital in Pathanapuram.

The accident occurred around 4 pm near the Maroor government school. The bus, operating on the Aroor–Pathanapuram route, reportedly rammed into the rear of a mini lorry after the latter braked suddenly, according to a witness.

About 30 passengers were on board the bus at the time of the incident, a police officer from the Adoor Police Station said. He added that none of the injuries appeared serious and the exact number of injured persons was yet to be confirmed.
