The incident took place on Monday. According to the Taliparamba police, they received an alert from Pariyaram Medical College that an infant had been brought dead to the hospital. In her initial statement, the mother claimed the baby had accidentally slipped from her hands and fallen into the well while she was preparing to bathe the child after applying oil.
