Class 4 student from Malappuram wins hearts with creative clay art

Thenhipalam: Nisarga, a Class 4 student from Thenhipalam, is fast making a name for herself with her remarkable talent for painting on clay pots.
It was the sight of her mother, a psychologist at Hajiyar Valavu, bringing colours to life through her paintings that sparked Nisarga’s curiosity and love for art. The young girl soon began experimenting with painting on clothes and clay pots, mediums that gave wings to her creativity.
Nisarga’s talent has already earned her recognition as she won first prizes in both clay pottery painting and pencil drawing at the Vengara sub-district school festival. A student of AUP School, Thenhipalam, she is also a graceful dancer.
A recent exhibition of her clay pottery paintings held at the EMS Chair Hall on the Calicut University campus drew widespread attention. Viewers admired the vibrancy and detail in her creations, offering words of encouragement that has further fuelled her artistic spirit.
Now, Nisarga is gearing up to participate in an online national-level drawing competition for children under 15.
Her younger sister, Praheeksha, an LKG student, also shows a keen interest in painting. Their father, Jayadevan, is a psychologist.
