Bethurpara: Amid the continuing menace of indiscriminate waste dumping, a group of school students has set an inspiring example.
Sreenidhi Ramesan, Amshith Vinod and Prashanth Pramod , all students of Bethurpara Government Higher Secondary School , carried out a clean-up drive along the Vattamthatta–Payangad Road, collecting plastic bottles and wrappers that had been carelessly thrown away.
The collected plastic waste will be handed over to the Haritha Karma Sena, the students said. Their model initiative shows that waste management shouldn’t be a topic discussed only when stray dog attacks rise or when epidemics break out.
