Thrissur: A 64-year-old man was found dead at his residence in Vettukadavu, Chalakudy, on Wednesday, the same day his house was scheduled to be attached following a court order in a case involving a chit fund company.
The deceased has been identified as Somasundara Panicker (64). He was found hanging inside his house at around 11.30 am. Family members, with the help of local residents, brought him down and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The attachment proceedings were initiated after a court verdict went against Panicker in a dispute with a chit firm. Officials reached the house later in the day to carry out the order, but returned without proceeding after being informed of his death.
