Justice Nisha Banu takes oath as Kerala High Court judge

Justice J Nisha Banu was sworn in as a Judge of the Kerala High Court on December 19. Chief Justice Nitin Jamdar, Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court, administered the oath of office to Justice Banu, after the Registrar General read the notification transferring her to the Kerala High Court
The Centre had notified her transfer from the Madras High Court to the Kerala High Court on October 14, 2025. However, she had not complied with the order. Later, the President issued a direction to her to join the Kerala High Court by December 20, following which she was sworn in as a Judge of the Kerala High Court on December 19.
