Kannur: Two migrant labourers died, and several others were injured after the lorry they were travelling in lost control and overturned in Payyavoor in Kannur on Saturday evening. The deceased are Viswajith and Krishna.

According to the Payyavoor police, the incident occurred around 4.30 pm, when the vehicle, carrying a concrete mixer and over 10 migrant workers, lost control while returning from Kunjiparambu.

The injured were taken to AKG Memorial Cooperative Hospital, where they are currently being treated. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
