Pathanamthitta: Four people sustained injuries on Monday after a KSRTC bus lost control and rammed into a police jeep in Adoor.

Three police personnel and a bus passenger were injured in the accident. Assistant Sub Inspector Shaiju S suffered a fracture to his hand and was shifted to the Kottayam Government Medical College Hospital for further treatment. The other two injured policemen are undergoing treatment at the Adoor General Hospital.

The police jeep of the Koipuram station was en route to Kottarakkara jail when the accident occurred. Police said that as the jeep was passing through Adoor town, the KSRTC bus, bound for Kayamkulam, reportedly lost its brakes, veered off its route towards Thiruvananthapuram, and first hit a road divider before crashing into the police vehicle. The impact of the collision pushed the police jeep forward, causing it to ram into another KSRTC bus ahead.
