Hazare Trophy: Kerala's opening match washed out — All the Elite Group A matches have been abandoned so far due to rain. Representational image

Bengaluru: Kerala's opening match against Chhattisgarh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy national one-day championships was washed out here on Wednesday.

Rain forced abandonment of the match without a ball being bowled. Both teams got two points each.

Kerala are scheduled to meet Saurashtra on Thursday. Robin Uthappa is leading the Dav Whatmore-coached Kerala side.

All the Elite Group A matches have been abandoned so far due to rain.

Andhra, defending champions Mumbai, Jharkhand, Goa, Hyderabad and Karnataka are the other teams in the group.
