India’s ‘Gamball’ strategy is to post 250-260 regularly in T20Is

Indian men's team head coach Gautam Gambhir has opened up about his idea of attacking cricket, which involves a high-risk, high-reward approach. Gambhir has claimed he wants his side to get mammoth totals of 250-plus in T20Is regularly.
The remark comes after India’s massive 150-run win over England in the final T20I at the Wankhede to clinch the home series 4-1. India posted 247/9, their fourth-highest total in T20Is, before dismissing the opposition for 97.
“That's the kind of T20 cricket we want to play,” Gambhir said about the big win. “We don't want to fear losing a game of cricket. We want to play high-risk, high-reward cricket. And these guys have adopted that ideology really well.
“We want to try and get to 250-260 regularly. And in trying to do that, there'll be games where we'll get bundled out for 120-130. And that is what T20 cricket is all about. Unless and until you don't play that high-risk cricket, you won't get those big rewards as well. Most importantly, I think we're on the right track. Come those big tournaments, we want to continue playing this way, and we don't want to fear losing anything.
“I think the ideology of this T20 team is based on selflessness and fearlessness, and I think in the last six months, these guys have done it day in, day out.”
The coach’s remarks sound timely, considering India unleashed their batting aggression on an English side coached by Brendon McCullum, whose high-reward style of play goes by the term Bazball.
