Pakistan batter Haider Ali was arrested and released on bail in England on an allegation of rape.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said the cricketer was investigated in connection with an alleged incident during a recent tour of England.

Ali was reportedly arrested by the Greater Manchester Police, which told the Associated Press that they received a report of a rape. The alleged incident took place in Manchester on July 23, 2025.

Ali was part of the Pakistan Shaheens' team, which competes in second-tier international events. The team began its 15-day tour of England on July 22.
