Sidra Amin's valiant 81 went in vain as Pakistan failed to match the class of India, losing by 88 runs in a Women's World Cup match in Colombo on Sunday.

The Pakistan innings folded for 159 in response to India's total of 247. Young pacer Kranti Goud bagged 3/20 from her 10 overs, while Deepti Sharma claimed 3/45 and Sneh Rana took two wickets.

India have made two wins in a row, while Pakistan have suffered consecutive losses. Though India are the primary hosts, Colombo is a secondary venue as Pakistan does not play on Indian soil, an arrangement in place since the Champions Trophy earlier this year.

India continued with their no-handshake policy during the toss and after the match, a trend set by the men's team in the recently concluded Asia Cup. Captains Harmanpreet Kaur and Fatima Sana maintained distance from each other during the toss.

Earlier, Harleen Deol's composed 65-ball 46 helped India post a fighting total. Richa Ghosh's unbeaten 20-ball 35 came in handy as India pushed for a total closer to 250. Indian batters made good starts, but could not convert them into half-centuries, with Jemimah Rodrigues scoring 32 and opener Pratika Rawal adding 31.

For Pakistan, Diana Baig bagged 4/69, while Sadia Iqbal and skipper Sana took two wickets each. India lost five wickets in the death overs. India continued their domination over Pakistan in 50-over cricket by winning their last 12 encounters in a row.
